Hi GTYL Families,
The 2024 season is underway and it sounds like we have had excellent results so far...our players have come out strong!

As we continue to build up our program, we want to kick off a program-wide effort that is critically important - fundraising. As many know, we are a small, volunteer board-of-directors and we have long sought someone to take on the role of Director of Fundraising. Last year, we tried an initiative which took very little time/effort to put in place, Snap-Raise. While we were able to net approximately $4k, we unfortunately did not see very widespread participation and we know we can do better. In 2024, we are trying something new...

Matt Condon & Ryan Sandler (Boys 1/2 parents & coaches) stepped up and offered to put together a Gift Card Calendar Fundraiser - thanks guys! They found local sponsors for gift cards/donations, procured printing and other materials, and assembled the full package for us at no cost to the program. For those not familiar with this type of fundraiser, here is how it works:

This week, all coaches will hand out Gift Card Calendar Fundraiser packets to every player on the team

1. Each player gets a packet of 10 calendars to sell @ $10 each. As they are sold, the player should keep the bottom stubs to return to the program. Stubs and proceeds are returned to the team Coach, team manager, or otherwise appointed person. PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO SELL ALL 10 CALENDARS IN THEIR PACKET.
    
2. The calendar buyer keeps the calendar which has their ticket number at the top.
    
3. The calendars (month of June 2024) show a specific gift card that will be drawn like a raffle each day of June.
   
    
4. We will draw a prize each day of June and post the raffle winner on our social media pages and contact the winner directly.
   
   Additionally, each player that sells all 10 of their calendars will be entered into a raffle for a chance at a GTYL Signature Hoodie. Three boys and three girls will be randomly selected as winners. One person will be selected for a $100 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card.
   
   We feel this is a great way to get the community involved in donating and maximize participation from all players and families without putting a financial burden on them. If you have any questions, please begin by directing them to your coach or team manager assigned to run this fundraiser. This effort helps us provide indoor/outdoor field time and the best equipment and opportunity available for all our players. We greatly appreciate all contributions - thanks so much!
